Saw this in the window of an antique shop the other day and couldnt stop thinking about it. Not sure why, but i do love the colour. Couldnt afford to buy it (student loan not in yet!) so took a few sneaky photos instead! I think its by SylvaC, so its quite collectable, and probably a bit over my budget. They made loads of ornaments, between about 1880 and 1940. Mostly animals, especially dogs and rabbits. Have found a really nice rabbit on ebay that im keeping my eye on, much more stylised, would be lovely to draw. Green rabbits on a background of black and off white harlequin check sound good. Oh yeah, the blue bottle behind the rabbit had 'poison' embossed on it - how Alice and Wonderland, i wonder if the owner of the shop did that on purpose?
